I feel exhilarated and highly delighted to hear that our Institute is going to launch a Website for itself . This has been all along a long felt need and God in His bountiful grace and mercy has fulfilled our ambition today.
When I write about the C.S.I.I.T, I become reminiscent of so many things that happened in the past. I recall to my mind the services rendered by our former Bishop Rt. Rev. G. Christudhas M.A, B.D, and the members who were then functioning on the Executive Committee. The establishment, in a way, is a unique achievement of the Bishop, a feather in his cap.
The Institute had a very humble beginning in 1995 in the First Year Block with only 91 students in the First Year U.G. Classes. It expanded when the University granted permission to start 3 major Engineering studies - Mechanical, Computer and Electrical – all housed in the same Block. The Mechanical Engineering Work-shop and a welding cum Carpentry unit were then functioning near the present Canteen. Thanks to the Almighty! Within a short span of 6 years the Institute was in its full bloom as it had the opportunity of having all the important branches of Engineering Studies both at the U.G. and the P.G. levels including M.B.A and M.C.A classes
The infrastructural work is now almost complete. However, in future we may need more buildings and I am quite optimistic of the fact that the Lord will take care of it. We have enough number of hard working teaching and non-teaching staff fully committed to the work entrusted to them. The Management always remains indebted to them realizing there total involvement in the growth of the Institute.
Under the guidance and control of the principal Dr.S.BASIL GNANAPPAB.E,M.Tech,MIE,FACCE(I),MISTE,MACI(I),MASCE(I),Ph.D. the Institute is growing very fast putting on long strides on the right track. His efforts and attention, care and concern, piety and Industry individuate him as a person specially carved out for his position of principal ship by God Himself. May the Almighty God enable him and the staff in their onerous task of taking up the Institute further and further towards the peak of success and Glory.
