The Faculty members are highly qualified, experienced dedicated staff with high degree of academic and professional competency. This team of faculty provides the best interactive teaching environment, in time with rapidly changing environment. The faculty members are highly qualified with master’s degree in major areas like Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Control and Instrumentation. The present strength of faculty members is 14. Technical staff is 07 & other Non-Teaching 02. Our faculty members participated as Guest lectures in the faculty development programme organized by Anna University, National & International conferences, workshops, seminars etc. to update their technical skills.
The department is equipped with a full fledged lab facility. The major well equipped laboratory are Electrical Machines, Control Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Electrical Workshop. Electrical Simulation, Measurements and Instrumentation, etc. The Simlation lab. Is equipped with latest simulation packages like MiPower, AUPower, MATLAB,LABVIEW, PSPICE, PSIM etc.
The department is committed to offer high strong under graduate and post-graduate courses. During inception of this college, 1995 itself the U.G. Programme was started with an intake of 40 and latter on under graduate programme intake is raised to 60. during the academic year 2007 – 2008, we got affiliation to start masters of engineering degree in Power Electronics & Drives with a sanctioned intake of 18 per batch.
The EEE Department has its own departmental library with well bound collections of more than 800 volumes with the periodical addition of new books, project reports, University question papers to meet the growing and varied requirements of students and faculty members.
The technical association of this department ‘EEEFOZ’ functions very well to attain its vision.
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of our Institution is organized a TNEB Franchisee Training Programme from 09-03-2011 to 11-03-2011.
