This unit functions under the National Service Scheme of the Anna University. Many social reform activities, such as Awareness Programmes, Medical Camps, Tree Plantation, Social Works, Environmental Protection, etc. are conducted in the nearby adopted villages.

This unit conducts periodic awareness programmes and lectures to emphasize the social, moral, national and global concerns among the students. They insist the importance and need of blood donation and conducts blood donation camps.
